बागेश्वर नाथ शिवलिंग, आरंग(रायपुर)
पता – यह रायपुर से संबलपुर जाने वाले राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग संख्या 6 पर रायपुर से 37 कि.मी दूरी पर स्थित प्राचीन नगरी आरंग है ।
गर्भ गृह- बागेश्वर नाथ मंदिर के गर्भ गृह में प्राचीन शिवलिंग और देवी पार्वती की प्रतिमा विराजमान हैं।मंदिर का गर्भ गृह देखने से ऐसा लगता है कि यह किसी योग्य कुंड के ऊपर शिवलिंग को स्थापित किया गया है।
108 स्तंभों में आधारित यह मंदिर – बागेश्वर नाथ का मंदिर हैं वह 108 स्तंभों के द्वारा मंदिर का निर्माण किया गया है।जिसमें 24 स्तंभ मंडप गृह पर हैं।
सिद्ध पीठ – बागेश्वर नाथ मंदिर को सिद्ध पीठ के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।
मंदिरों की नगरी आरंग – आरंग ऎतिहासिक एवं पुरातत्विक महत्व के अनेक मंदिर स्थित है। इसलिए आरंग को मंदिरों कि नगरी कहा जाता है।इस नगर का उल्लेख पुराणों में भी मिलता है। यह महाभारत कालीन महान धर्म निष्ठ राजा मोरजध्वज कि नगरी थी|
हनुमान की मूर्ति – बागेश्वर नाथ मंदिर के सामने में ही हनुमान जी की मूर्ति स्थापित की गई है।
आरंग के प्रमुख मंदिर – बागेश्वर नाथ मंदिर, भाण्ड देवल मंदिर, बाघ देवल मंदिर, महामाया मंदिर, पंचमुखी महादेव मंदिर, हनुमान मंदिर आदि आरंग के प्रमुख दर्शनीय मंदिर है।
अति प्राचीन मंदिर – बागेश्वर नाथ का जो मंदिर है वह अति प्राचीन मंदिर है।
शिवरात्री पर्व में – महाशिवरात्रि के उत्सव के दिन इस मंदिर के गर्भगृह में शिवलिंग को सुंदर तरह से सजाया जाता है। जैसे उज्जैन के महाकालेश्वर शिवलिंग को सजाया जाता है उसी प्रकार बागेश्वर नाथ शिवलिंग को हर सोमवार और विशेष उत्सव पर्व में सजाया जाता है।
रामायण काल में – माना जाता है कि वनवास के दौरान भगवान राम लक्ष्मण और सीता इस बागेश्वर नाथ मंदिर में आए थे।और श्री राम ने इस बागेश्वर नाथ शिवलिंग की पूजा अर्चना की थी।मंदिर के प्रांगण में एक छोटा सा मंदिर है उस मंदिर के अंदर एक छोटा सा शिवलिंग विराजमान हैं।
गणेश जी की मूर्ति – मंदिर परिसर में गणेश जी की सुन्दर मूर्ति स्थापित की गई है।
आकर्षण का केंद्र – बागेश्वर नाथ मंदिर श्रद्धालु के लिए आकर्षण का केंद्र है।
मोरध्वज कि परीक्षा – इस मंदिर में श्री कृष्ण ने ली राजा थी राजा मोरध्वज कि परीक्षा । राजा मोरध्वज ने अपने पुत्र को आरी से काटकर श्री कृष्ण के शेर को खिलाया था। श्री कृष्ण ने राजा मोरध्वज की परीक्षा से खुश होकर उसे वरदान दिया कि यह नगरी पावन तीर्थ के नाम से जानी जाएगी।

Address- It is an ancient city of Arang located 37 km from Raipur on National Highway No 6 from Raipur to Sambalpur.
Entrance gate – In front of the entrance of Bageshwar Nath temple, a statue of two lions has been made, which makes this temple even more beautiful.
Garbha Griha – The sanctum sanctorum of the Bageshwar Nath temple houses the ancient Shivalinga and the idol of Goddess Parvati. Looking at the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, it seems that this Shivalinga has been installed on top of a worthy pool.
This pillar-based temple – is the temple of Bageshwar Nath.This temple is constructed by 108 pillars, with 24 pillars on the mandapa griha.
Siddha Peetha – Bageshwar Nath Temple is also known as Siddha Peetha.
City of Temples Arang – Arang There are many temples of historical and archaeological importance. Hence, Arang is called the city of temples. This city is also mentioned in the Puranas. This Mahabharata period was the city of the great religious king Morajdhwaj.
Statue of Hanuman – An idol of Hanuman has been installed in front of Bageshwar Nath Temple.
Major Temples of Arang – Bageshwar Nath Temple, Bhand Deval Temple, Bagh Deval Temple, Mahamaya Temple, Panchmukhi Mahadev Temple, Hanuman Temple etc. are the major scenic temples of Arang.
Ancient Temple – The temple of Bageshwar Nath is a very ancient temple.
In Shivratri festival – Shivalinga is beautifully decorated in the sanctum sanctorum of this temple on the day of Mahashivaratri. Just as the Mahakaleshwar Shivling of Ujjain is decorated, the Bageshwar Nath Shivling is decorated every Monday and in a special festive festival.
In the Ramayana period – Lord Rama Lakshman and Sita are believed to have visited this Bageshwar Nath temple during exile and Sri Rama worshiped this Bageshwar Nath Shivling.There is a small temple in the courtyard of the temple, there is a small Shivling inside that temple.
Ganesha idol – A beautiful idol of Ganesha has been installed in the temple premises.
Hotspots – Bageshwar Nath Temple is a center of attraction for the devotees.
Examination of Mordhwaj – In this temple, Shri Krishna took the test of King Mordhwaj. King Moradhwaj cut his son from saws and fed him to the lion of Shri Krishna. Shri Krishna, happy with the examination of King Moradhwaja, gave him a boon that this city would be known as the holy shrine.
