छत्तीसगढ़ की प्रमुख गुफा
मंडिप खोल गुफा
यह भारत का पहला और एशिया का दूसरा सबसे लंबी गुफा मंडिप खोल गुफा को माना जाता है। यह छत्तीसगढ़ के राजनांदगांव जिले के छूई खदान मुख्यालय से लगभग 55 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर जंगलों से गुजर कर आप रहस्यमय मंडिप खोल गुफा तक पहुंच सकते हैं।मंडिपखोल गुफा का प्रवेश द्वार एक बड़े पत्थर से ढका रहता है। जिसे ठाकुर टोला परिवार के द्वारा ही सबके सहयोग से खोला जाता है।मंडिप खोल गुफा के अंदर में एक प्राचीन शिवलिंग है जिसके दर्शन करने के लिए यहां दूर – दूर से पर्यटक इस गुफा में आते हैं। और यह साल में एक दिन सिर्फ अक्षय तृतीया के बाद आने वाले सोमवार को मंडिप खोल गुफा खोला जाता है।
कुटूमसर गुफा
यह एक भूमिगत गुफा है जो जगदलपुर के निकट स्थित है। इसकी खोज प्रसिद्ध भुगोलवेत्ता डॉ. शंकर तिवारी द्वारा किए गई। यह गुफा स्टेलेक्टाइट तथा स्टेलेग्माइट से निर्मित है।इस गुफा की तुलना अमेरिका स्थित विश्व की सर्वाधिक लंबी गुफा कल्सवार ऑफ केव से कि जाती हैं। यह भारत की सबसे गहरी गुफा मानी जाती है। गुफा की छत से लटकती चुने के स्तम्भ देखने में आकर्षक लगते हैं।यह गुफा अंधी मछली का निवास स्थान है। इस गुफा के द्वार इतने छोटे और गोलाकार है कि एक बार में केवल एक ही व्यक्ति अंदर प्रवेश कर सकता है।यह गुफा लगभग 4500 फिट लंबी है और भूमितल से लगभग 60-215 फिट की गहराई पर स्थित है। चुने और पानी से बनी इस सुंदर गुफा में कही कही कही शिवलिंग का आभास भी होता है।
कबडा पहाड़ गुफा
यह रायगढ़ से 8 किलोमीटर पूर्व में स्थित है। यह पूर्व पाषाण कालीन शैल चित्रों के कारण प्रसिद्ध है। यहां से प्राचीनतम मानव निवास के प्रमाण मिले हैं।
कांकेर करपन
यह बस्तर की कांकेर घाटी में स्थित एक प्राकृतिक गुफा है।
कैलाश गुफा
यह बस्तर की कांकेर घाटी में स्थित एक प्राकृतिक गुफा है। बस्तर के अतिरिक्त इसी नाम की एक गुफा जशपुर जिले में भी है। यह बगीचा से 10 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है। यह आज रामेश्वर गुरु गहिरा बाबा के आश्रम के रूप में जानी जाती है। गुफा के समीप प्राकृतिक सौंदर्य से परिपूर्ण गंगा झरना है।
दंडक गुफा
यह बस्तर की कांकेर घाटी में स्थित एक प्राकृतिक गुफा है।
देवगिरी गुफा
यह बस्तर की कांकेर घाटी अभयारण्य में स्थित एक प्राकृतिक गुफा है।
रामगढ़ गुफा
सरगुजा जिले में स्थित यह गुफा विंध्याचल पर्वत शृंखला का एक अंग हैं। विश्व की प्राचीनतम रंगशाला रामगढ़ की गुफा में है। ऐसा माना जाता है कि महाकवि कालिदास ने अपने महा काव्य मेघदूतम की रचना यही की थी। यहां स्थित है विश्व की प्राचीनतम रंगशाला सीता बेंगरा के नाम से प्रसिद्ध है। ऎसी मान्यता है कि भगवान राम ने अपने वनवास काल का कुछ समय यही व्यतीत किया था।
सीता गुफा
यह बस्तर की कांकेर घाटी में स्थित एक प्राकृतिक गुफा है।
सिंधनपुर गुफा
यह रायगढ़ से 20 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है।यह पूर्व पाषाण कालीन अवशेष मिले है। यह विश्व का प्राचीनतमसे प्राचीनतम मानव शैलाश्रय माना जाता हैं।
गुप्तेश्वर गुफा
यह जगदलपुर से 25 मील दक्षिण में स्थिति हैं। इस गुफा में चुने के पत्थर के कटने से शिव की आकृति बन गई है जिसकी श्रद्धालु पूजा करते है।

Major Caves of Chhattisgarh
Mandip Khol Cave
It is considered to be India’s first and Asia’s second longest cave Mandip Khol cave. It can reach the mysterious Mandip Khol Cave by passing through the forests at a distance of about 55 km from the Chhui Mines Headquarters in Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh. The entrance to the Mundipkhol Cave is covered with a large stone. Which is opened by the Thakur Tola family with the help of everyone. Inside the Mandip Khol cave is an ancient Shivalinga which is visited by tourists from far and wide to visit this cave.And this is the Mandip Khol Cave opened on the Monday after Akshaya Tritiya, one day a year.
Kutumsar Cave
It is an underground cave located near Jagdalpur. It was discovered by the famous geographer Dr. Shankar Tiwari. This cave is built of stalactite and stalagmite. This cave is compared to the world’s longest cave in the US, Kalswar of Cave. It is considered to be the deepest cave in India. The pillars of Chunu hanging from the roof of the cave are fascinating to see. This cave is the abode of blind fish.The gate of this cave is so small and circular that only one person can enter at once. This cave is about 4500 feet long and is situated at a depth of about 60-215 feet from the ground. There is also the feeling of Shiva Linga somewhere in this beautiful cave made of water and water.
Kabda mountain cave
It is located 8 km east of Raigad. It is famous for its pre-Stone Age rock paintings. Evidence of the oldest human habitation has been found from here.
Kanker Karpan
It is a natural cave located in the Kanker Valley of Bastar.
Kailash Cave
It is a natural cave located in the Kanker Valley of Bastar. Apart from Bastar, there is also a cave of the same name in Jashpur district. It is located at a distance of 10 km from the garden. It is known today as the ashram of Rameshwar Guru Ghira Baba. Near the cave is the Ganges waterfall, full of natural beauty.
Dandak Cave
It is a natural cave located in the Kanker Valley of Bastar.
Devagiri Cave
It is a natural cave located in the Kanker Valley Sanctuary of Bastar.
Ramgarh Cave
Situated in Surguja district, this cave is a part of the Vindhyachal mountain range. The oldest theater in the world is in the cave of Ramgarh. It is believed that Mahakavi Kalidas composed his Maha Kavya Meghdootam. Situated here, the world’s oldest theater is famous as Sita Bengra. It is believed that Lord Rama spent some time during his exile.
Sita Cave
It is a natural cave located in the Kanker Valley of Bastar.
Sindhanpur Cave
It is situated at a distance of 20 km from Raigad. These former stone remains have been found. It is considered to be the oldest human style of the world.
Gupteshwar Cave
It is located 25 miles south of Jagdalpur. The stone cut in this cave has created the shape of Shiva, which is worshiped by devotees.
