नकटा — लकड़ी का मुखौटा
नकटा किसे कहते है – नकटा छत्तीसगढ़ के मुरिया समुदाय में इस्तेमाल होने वाला लकड़ी का एक मुखौटा है।
मुखौटा का उपयोग – मुरिया विदूषक द्वारा हल्के वजन के इस मुखौटे को विभिन्न अवसरों पर और विशेष रूप से छेरता त्योहार पर नृत्य प्रदर्शन के दौरान पहना जाता है। इस त्योहार में युवकों का एक समूह गांव के हर घर में जाकर छेरता के लिए चावल और अन्य खाद्य पदार्थों की मांग करता है। समूह का एक युवक मुखौटा पहनकर और हाथ में छड़ी पकड़ कर एक मसखरे के रूप में ग्रामीणों का मनोरंजन करता है। छेरता के दौरान एकत्र किए गए अनाज सामूहिक भोज में परोसे जाते हैं। विदूषक द्वारा पहने जाने वाले नकटा मुखौटे की पहचान दाढ़ी से होती है जिसे चांदी की कान की बालियां और धातु के दांत और अधिक आकर्षक बनाते हैं।
मानव संग्रहालय – इन्दिरा गाँधी राष्ट्रीय मानव संग्रहालय के नवीन श्रृंखला सप्ताह का प्रादर्श के अंतर्गत आज मई माह के द्वितीय सप्ताह के प्रादर्श के रूप में ‘नकटा ‘ लकड़ी का एक मुखौटा से बनी एक पेटी है जिसे छत्तीसगढ़ के मुरिया समुदाय से सन 1985 में संग्रहालय द्वारा संकलित किया गया था।

What is Nakta – Nakta is a wooden mask used in the Muria community of Chhattisgarh.
Use of Mask – This light weight mask by Muria clown is worn on various occasions and especially during dance performances at Chherata festival. In this festival, a group of youths go to every house in the village and demand rice and other food items for Chharata. A young man of the group entertains the villagers by wearing a mask and holding a stick in his hand as a clown.The grains collected during the Chharata are served at the mass feast. The masked mask worn by the clown is identified by the beard, which makes silver earrings and metal teeth more attractive.
Manav Museum – Under the new series Week of Indira Gandhi National Human Museum, today, in the form of the second week of May, ‘Nakta’ is a box made of a wooden mask which was collected from the Muria community of Chhattisgarh by the
