पता – रायपुर रेलवे स्टेशन से लगभग25 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है पुरखौती मुक्तांगन।
छत्तीसगढ़ का धरोहर -पुरखौती मुक्तांगन एक ऎसा स्थान है जहां आपको छत्तीसगढ़ के लगभग सभी धार्मिक, ऎतिहासिक,और प्राकृतिक पर्यटन स्थलों का कृत्रिम बनावट देखने को मिल जाएगा और साथ ही आप छत्तीसगढ़ कला और संस्कृति का भी दर्शन कर सकते हैं।
प्रवेश गेट – पुरखौती मुक्तांगन के प्रवेश गेट के सामने सुंदर सुन्दर चित्रकारी दीवारों पर किये गए हैं जो इस पुरखौती मुक्तांगन को और भी चार चांद लगा देता है।
200 एकड़ – पुरखौती मुक्तांगन 200 एकड़ भूमि में फैला हुआ है।
कला संस्कृति- पुरखौती मुक्तांगन छत्तीसगढ़ कि कला- संस्कृति कि एक अलग पहचान बनाती है।
उद्घाटन- भारत के राष्टपति डॉ ए.पी.जे.अब्दुल कलाम द्वारा 7 नवम्बर 2006 को पुरखौती मुक्तांगन का उद्घाटन किया था।
जीवंत संग्रहालय – कला संस्कृति का जीवंत संग्रहालय पुरखौती मुक्तांगन’ को कहा जाता है।
पर्यटन केंद्र – पुरखौती मुक्तांगन एक सुंदर पर्यटन केंद्र है।
आकर्षण का केंद्र – पुरखौती मुक्तांगन पर्यटको के लिए भी आकर्षण का केंद्र बिंदु है जो पर्यटको को अपनी ओर आने के लिए आकर्षित करती है।
परंपरागत चित्रकारी- पुरखौती मुक्तांगन के दीवारों पर छत्तीसगढ़ की परंपरागत चित्रकारी से लोक-कथाओं को और भी प्रदर्शित करती हैं।
कला तीर्थ – पुरखौती मुक्तांगन में एक ही जगह में कला तीर्थ के रूप में प्रदर्शित किया गया है।
प्रथम चरण – पुरखौती मुक्तांगन के प्रथम चरण में वनवासी आदिवासी के आखेट दृश्य एवं लोक –नृत्य और लोक संगीत के साथ मूर्ति शिल्प का सुंदर दृश्य बनाया गया है।
आदिवासी चित्रकलाएं – बस्तर के पारम्परिक जीवन रीतियों और सुंदर त्योहार, बस्तर की कला को भी पुरखौती मुक्तांगन में प्रदर्शित किया गया है।
ढोलक गणेश की एक झलक – बस्तर के प्रसिद्ध ढोलक गणेश की प्रतिमा को रायपुर के इस पुरखौती मुक्तांगन में देख सकते हैं देखने से ऎसा लगता है कि मानों हम बस्तर में ही पहुंच कर इस दृश्य को देख रहे हैं।
प्राचीन मंदिरों का सुंदर दुश्य – छत्तीसगढ़ के प्राचीन मंदिर को भी इस पुरखौती मुक्तांगन में निर्माण किया गया है। जैसे बस्तर के गणेश प्रतिमा, भोरमदेव मंदिर, ताला गांव के रुद्रशिव की प्रतिमा है,।
स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों के प्रतिमाएं- पुरखौती मुक्तांगन में स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों के भी प्रतिमाएँ देखने को मिलती है ।
पारम्परिक नृत्य – छत्तीसगढ़ के पारम्परिक नृत्य में सुआ नृत्य, राऊत नाचा,पंथी नृत्य, और आदिवासी लोगो करमा नृत्य और शैला नृत्य भी पुरखौती मुक्तांगन में इन सभी की एक झलक दिखाई देती हैं।
शिकार खेलते हुए – आदिवासी लोग अपने तीर कमान से जंगली जानवरों का शिकार किया करते थे इनका दृश्य भी पुरखौती मुक्तांगन में देखने को मिलेगा।
बस्तर का दशहरा उत्सव – बस्तर के पारम्परिक दशहरा पर्व में पहले दिन के रथ को बनाया जाता है ठीक उसी प्रकार से इस रथ के दृश्य को पुरखौती मुक्तांगन में भी बनाया गया हैं।
घोटूल – बस्तर के माडिया जनजाति का पारंपरिक संस्कृतिक केंद्र है।
नारायण पाल मंदिर – नाग राजाओं के द्वारा 12 वी सदी ईसवी में निर्मित मंदिर।
माता गुडी – ग्राम देवी देवताओं का पारंपरिक पूजा स्थल।
सींग देउढी – जगदलपुर के राजमहल का सिंग देउढी सियासती स्थापत्य कला का सुंदर नमूना है।
बुद्ध विहार – मैनपाट में बुद्ध विहार की सुंदर मंदिर है जिसे पुरखौती मुक्तांगन में हूबहू वैसा ही बुद्ध विहार का भी मंदिर बनाया गया है।
आमचो बस्तर- आमचो बस्तर’ नाम से प्रसिद्ध है बस्तर की जीवन शैली और संस्कृति के पुरखौती मुक्तांगन में जीवंत दर्शन होते हैं।
गार्डन का निर्माण – पुरखौती मुक्तांगन में एक सुंदर सा गार्डन और पेड़ पौधे निर्माण किया गया है जिससे कुछ देर तक पर्यटक यहां बैठा कर इस गार्डन का आनंद लेते हैं ।
भित्ति चित्र – पुरखौती मुक्तांगन में श्रीमति सोना बाई रजवार को इस पैतृक संग्रहालय के लिए छत्तीसगढ़ के ग्रामीण जीवन पर आधारित भित्ति चित्र बनाने हेतु खास तौर से आमंत्रित किया गया था। इन भित्ति चित्रों में घरों को बड़ी बारीकी से दर्शाया गया है। सभी घर के मुख्य द्वार पर चौखट सुंदर रंगों और सुंदर चित्रकारी से सजायी गयी है। जिसे देखने से पूराने घरों की याद आ जाती हैं।
पुरातात्विक स्थल – छत्तीसगढ़ के धरोहरों में शामिल हैं खजुराहों का प्राचीन भोरमदेव मंदिर जिसे इस पुरखौती मुक्तांगन में उसी तरह का मंदिर बनाया गया है ऎसा लगता है कि हम इस भोरमदेव मंदिर का दर्शन कर रहे हैं।
धरोहर – छत्तीसगढ़ के पुरानी परम्परा एवं रहन सहन के तरीके एवं वेश भूषा और सांस्कृतिक त्यौहार का सुंदर दृश्य इस
पुरखौती मुक्तांगन में संजोकर रखा गया है।

Traditional Painting – The Purakhoti displays folk tales more than the traditional painting of Chhattisgarh on the walls of Muktangan.

Mural paintings – Mrs. Sona Bai Rajwar in Purakhoti Muktangan was specially invited to make murals based on rural life of Chhattisgarh for this ancestral museum. These murals depict houses very closely. The door frame at the main entrance of all the houses is decorated with beautiful colors and beautiful painting. Which reminds us of old homes.
