सावन पर्व में –सावन महिने के प्रत्येक सोमवार को अधिक संख्या में कांवरिया सोमनाथ मंदिर पहुंचकर शिवलिंग का जलाभिषेक करते हैं।इस मंदिर में हर हर महादेव की ध्वनि इस मंदिर परिसर में गूंज उठती है।

Address- This famous Somnath temple located near Bhumiya-Sankra village at the confluence of Shivnath and Kharun rivers on Raipur to Bilaspur road route.
Garbha Griha – The shrine lingam itself is situated in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple which is about 3 feet in height and this shivlinga has been growing slowly, whose vision fulfills all the wishes of the devotees.
Artwork – Somnath temple has beautiful beautiful dances and ancient idols which make this temple even more beautiful
In the Sawan festival – every Monday of the month of Savan, a large number of Kanwarias reach the Somnath temple and offer prayers to the Shivalinga. The sound of every Har Mahadev in this temple resonates in this temple complex.
Picnic Spot – The temple of Somnath is a beautiful picnic spot. And it is surrounded by natural beauty and tourists can also enjoy boating when visiting here.
Ancient Shivling – The Shiva lingam of Somnath is an ancient Shivalinga that is several thousands of hundred years old and it is made of Shivling sand and it is derived from the excavation of Shivalinga.
In Mahashivratri festival – In the holy festival of Mahashivratri, this Somnath temple attracts huge crowds of devotees to see Bhole Baba and a grand fair is organized here on Maghi Punni and Mahashivaratri.
The color of Shivling changes 3 times – The color of this Shivling changes 3 times in a year in cold, summer and rainy seasons.
Other Temples – There is also a temple of Hanuman ji, Shri Krishna Radha and Ram Janaki near the Somnath temple.
Ancient Shivalinga – Nestled in the lap of nature, this Somnath temple is quite ancient which also has its own archaeological significance because this temple of Somnath Mahadev situated at the confluence is situated on a high mound which was found at the time of excavation. Not only this, a temple is also situated between the holy confluence of Shivnath and Kharun, it is said that Ganga is seen here on the special occasions like Mahashivratri on seeing the presence of devotees.
